Ultra-ClarityTM
Stereo Speakers
The exclusive "ultra-clarityTM"
technology delivers crisper and clearer sounds at higher
volumes, along with a fuller bass. The one-piece, isolated
speaker chamber minimizes vibration for distortion-free sound.
Remote Control Capability
Add the remote for just $10 more. The remote
allows you to control several functions from anywhere in the
room. It provides iPod control capabilities, such as volume
control, the ability to skip forward and backward through your
playlist, play/pause, and power (on/off). The remote also allows
you to dim or brighten the LCD display, and hit the snooze
button on the alarm. This is especially nice if the alarm is not
right next to the bed.
In addition to all this, you can also control
the radio with the remote. Toggle between iPod/mp3 player mode
and radio mode, while also scanning through radio stations.
Comfortable Fit for All
Devices
The
ICR not only works with all iPod models, it also works with mp3
players and other audio devices such as laptops and portable
CD/DVD players. It includes an adapter for each
of the docking iPods (3rd, 4th, 5th generation, nano and mini), ensuring a
snug fit
for each.
Much better than a docking station where your
iPod wiggles around!
Non-docking iPods and other devices connect with the
3.5mm adapter cable (through the headphone jack). Such devices can still rest atop the ICR
clock radio in one of the adapters.
Always Charging
Your iPod is always charging
when docked or connected. This is true even when your music is
playing. This way, you can play your iPod through your ICR
stereo for as long as you want, knowing it will be fully charged
as soon as you remove it.
iPod Capabilities
With
the remote (just $10 extra), you can control the volume of your
iPod/mp3 music, skip back and forth through your playlist, and
turn the iPod/mp3 player on and off. Without the remote, you can
use the circular volume control function at the top of the ICR
clock/radio/stereo, which works similar to the spinwheel on an
iPod (as it concerns volume control). There is also a play/pause
button, although you can still use the iPod itself
while connected or docked to the system.
Alarm Clock Features
Several Options. Wake up to your iPod,
radio or buzzer.
Gentle Wake. Use this function to peacefully wake up with
a gradually ascending alarm volume. A much
more comfortable way to wake up.
Battery Backup. If it is critical
that
you
wake up on time, then you need the ICR alarm clock radio. It
features a battery backup in case of a power failure, ensuring your alarm will go off. For further
protection, if your iPod is the selected alarm source, and it is
removed, then the buzzer will sound in its place.
Alarm Reset. Alarm Reset turns off alarm and
automatically resets it for same time the following day.
Sleep Features
Fall asleep to your favorite music on your iPod
or to the AM/FM Radio.
Programmable Sleep Feature. Select one
of several shutdown times. Program your music to shut off at
after either 120, 90, 60, 30, or 15 minutes.
Adjustable Sleep Volume. Select a
comfortable "sleep" volume level without affecting the "wake to"
or listening volume levels.
Gentle Sleep Option. Gradually decreases the music volume
as the scheduled shutdown time nears.
Reduces Potential for Hearing Loss
or Ear Damage Ron Eavey, Director
of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear
Infirmary: “Using earphones for hours at
high volumes basically causes 'shock and awe' to delicate
hair-like cells deep within the inner ear that help the
brain process sound. After years of abuse, those structures
won't function anymore. In addition to possible hearing loss,
one side effect of listening to loud music via earphones for
several hours a day is called Tinnitus – buzzing and/or
ringing in the ears. Tinnitus can be a nuisance and is a
symptom of ear damage."
