Recipes Using the SHGL-262 Food Processor

Chopping Function:

Grandma’s Meatloaf Recipe
2 lbs. meat – cubed
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ green pepper – chopped (SHGL-307 Chopping Function)
1 small onion – chopped
1 tsp poultry seasoning
¼ cup milk
½ egg
2 slices of day old bread

Topping:
Equal parts of ketchup and Worcestershire sauce

Preheat the oven to 375° Grind the meat in your food processor. Add all the ingredients together in a medium bowl. Work through with your hands. Transfer the mixture to a non-stick bread pan and bake in the oven for 1 ½ hours. The last 15 minutes of cooking time, top the meatloaf with the mixture of ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.

Grinder Function:

Homemade Peanut Butter
Peanuts
Optional – Oil (such as vegetable oil) and salt

To grind nuts it’s best to do it in small batches.  Again, pulse the food processor until you get the size desired. Scrape down the sides of the bowl often. The Liv Sure food processor is great for making nut butter and also for finely chopped nuts. Tip: when chopping nuts for recipe use, you may add a teaspoon or two of granulated sugar. This allows you to finely chop the nuts without them turning into butter.

Put the peanuts into your food processor and grind on pulse until the peanut butter is as chunky or smooth as you like it. Add a little oil and/or salt to taste if you want to. Be sure to refrigerate the homemade peanut butter since it does not contain any preservatives.

Chopping and Blender Functions:

Easy No Bake Apple Pie

Crust:
¼ cup pecans
¼ cup walnuts
4 soft dates – pitted

*Mix all the items together in food processor and spread thin over a pie plate.  For thick crust, double the recipe.

Filling:
1 or two apples
¼ tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
½ tsp lemon juice

Chop the apples in the food processor until desired consistency (you may also use peaches!).  Mix the chopped apples and the rest of the ingredients together in a bowl.  Top the pie with ¾ cup pecans that have been grinded in the food processor.
