A male-friendly floral painting with the bold contrast and dramatic statement it is making.

The artist does a great job of glorifying the white pedals. The light from outside of the scope of the canvas is curiously drawn to them.

From a technical standpoint, it is also impressive how the glass vase reflects some of the light from the white pedals. Also, the edges of the white-touched flower pedals are slightly blurred, as though the refection where too bright to view clearly.

The contrast in this painting is intelligently over-exaggerated, from the intensely white flower pedals to the deeply-darkened background.
