The artist took something dynamic and random (a forest of
trees), and made it symmetrical and orderly. 
It is very interesting how the artist organized this forest.
The large pine trees serve as bookends, framing the quake
and smaller pine trees. The smaller pine trees and the rocks
below then form a line, organizing the bottom end ...
... Then, in what is a really intriguing effect, the quakes
are lined up, as though they are in marching formation.
